In their childhood, around the age of 10, Guy Wann and Jeff Hass formed a strong bond over their shared love of fishing in their hometown of Ojai, California. Their adventures often led them to local fishing hotspots and trips to the pier, where they not only indulged in their hobby but also founded the Fisherman’s Club, drawing about a dozen local boys into their fold. As co-founders, Jeff assumed the role of president while Guy served as vice president. Their explorations extended to fishing at the Islands harbor, where Jeff later became a seasoned deckhand aboard various sportfishing boats.
Conversely, Guy pursued diverse job opportunities, cultivating a profound interest in art. Over time, his artistic endeavors flourished, leading to international recognition for his paintings. Despite their differing career paths, Guy and Jeff’s friendship remained steadfast and enriching throughout the years.
Upon retirement, they embarked on fulfilling their bucket list, which included starting a blog and creating YouTube videos to share their experiences and aspirations. They focused on documenting their travels and highlighting places they aimed to visit. In addition to travel content, Guy launched a dedicated blog for his artwork, offering painting tutorials and showcasing his art globally. This platform, guywann.xyz, serves as a testament to his commitment to both his craft and sharing his knowledge with aspiring artists.
